Ongoing Projects

  • We are interested in the glycoproteins that circulates in the blood and in their behaviour within their network context for biomarkers predictive of treatment response in pleural mesothelioma
  • We explore the dynamics of circulating glycoproteins during the evolution of pleural mesothelioma in patients for early detection and prognostic biomarkers
  • We aim at integrating circulating glycoproteins biomarkers with established diagnostic procedures, e.g. radiology, to increase the accuracy of pleural mesothelioma detection and prognostication
  • We work on further developing protocols to be considered for concrete applications in clinical settings
  • We look also beyond the proteins to their pathway context and to the impact that gene variants may have on it and on their function in pleural mesothelioma
