Our research focuses on the mechanisms of renal osteodystrophy - the abnormalities of bone during chronic kidney disease - and the regulation of secretion and cell signaling of bone hormone Fibroblast Growth Factor 23. We employ transgenic mouse studies, molecular biology methods and patient cohorts to decipher pathophysiological concepts.
