DBMR Homepage Image Competition 2026
Purpose
We are launching this competition to give members of the DBMR a chance to contribute to the department’s visual identity. The selected image will replace the current homepage image and help represent the DBMR community in a fresh way.
How it works
- All DBMR members are invited to submit one image that — in your view — captures the spirit or research of our department.
- After the submission period, all DBMR members will be invited to vote on their favourite entries. The image with the most votes will become the new homepage image.
- There is no prize money — the “reward” is seeing your image on the DBMR homepage.
Rules / Conditions of Entry
- Only one submission per person is allowed.
- You must be a DBMR member to participate.
- You must be the author of the image.
- The image must not have been published before.
- Submissions must be made via the official form.
- A short description of the image must accompany each entry.
- Image requirements:
- Maximum file size: 1 MB
- Required dimensions: 589 (width) × 442 px (height)
- A short description of the image must accompany the submission.
- You retain copyright of your submission, but by entering you grant permission for publication under a CC-BY-NC-ND license (non-commercial, no derivatives, attribution required).
- All submissions will be checked for proper dimensions / size. Entries that fail to meet the technical requirements may be rejected.
- By submitting the form, you agree to all competition rules and accept that your image may be used should it win.
