We support flow cytometry data analysis at all levels, ranging from simple histograms to advanced machine learning for high-dimensional datasets.
For more information regarding software available in the facility, please see below:
FlowJo
A portal license for the flow cytometry analysis software FlowJo can be requested by writing to facslab.dbmr@unibe.ch. You will then receive an invitation for registration and installation of the software. You can use your portal account on up to 4 computers, one at a time. (Portal licenses require an @unibe.ch or @insel.ch email address. For other email addresses, please indicate it in your request.)
Please note that FlowJo software cannot be used by more than one portal account on a given computer. For licenses on shared computers, please contact us.
This software is also available at the IDEAS Workstation.
IDEAS (Image Data Exploration And Analysis Software)
IDEAS software enables the analysis of ImageStream data. It combines functions from both flow cytometry and microscopy software to generate dot plots, histograms, statistical tables, image galleries, and more. This software is available free of charge at the IDEAS Workstation. An earlier version of IDEAS without machine learning can be obtained free of charge upon request.
SpectroFlo
SpectroFlo is used to acquire and analyze data generated on the Cytek Aurora full spectrum flow cytometer. The software is available on both the Aurora Workstation (for data acquisition) and the IDEAS Workstation (for data analysis). You can use the software at the Aurora Workstation for unmixing (time in this workstation is billed), but we recommend that you refine your unmixing strategy using the software at the IDEAS Workstation, which is free of charge.
Cytolution
Cytolution, developed by Cytolytics, is a cloud-based platform for automated, high-dimensional flow cytometry data analysis. At the moment, the facility currently provides one shared account for all users. Only one user can log in at a time, and individual password-protected subfolders are not available.
To use Cytolution, please request it via the DBMR Equipment Manager so that it can be made bookable for you. For support or questions, contact the facility team. Users are also encouraged to attend Cytolytics’ open office hours for additional help.
User interest will be evaluated to decide whether a multi-user license will be implemented in the future.
